The Self Image

Who the hell do you think you are? No, really. Who do you think you are? Who do you think people think you are? In this business people are always trying to label you. The ingenue. The hero. Hollywood people are very very stupid. So as interesting as you may think you are, no one’s really interested in figuring you out. Whoever you are or whatever you’re about, has to be clear. Clearer than you may feel comfortable showing. And if people can’t figure you out, they want to sense that you’ve figured yourself out. Confidence. You know something no one else knows. People are followers and want to be led, and ambiguity is a frustrating quality in a leader.

How do you present yourself? How do you want people to see you? Deepok Chopra believes in meditating to an archetype, that fundamental/universal being that connects your truest self to the rest of the world. The Creator, The Lover, The Jester. Being aware of your self image is not as shallow as one might think. Being more aware of whoever the hell you are, may make all the difference in landing that dream role.
