Lately I’ve been having trouble. I haven’t been able to land roles that I’m interested in. Or even audition for them. I haven’t been around people that truly inspire me. I haven’t been inspired by the movies I’ve seen. Lately I’ve been feeling like Los Angeles will swallow me whole. I’ll get lost in the fog. When I first got here I was so jazzed. Working out all the time. Ready for any call I got, but that slowly started to fade when I felt like I was just going out for whatever I could. I was a claw machine in a carnival. Willing to pick up any piece of junk. I would decifer it later, and decide how much of a piece of junk it was, or wasn’t. It took some time, and a close friend to help me realize that this was MY problem. When you get to Los Angeles, you feel as if you’re at the mercy of the beast. One day some man with a camera and a baseball cap will point his finger at you and suddenly you’re at the top of the biz. But don’t be fooled! Here, like anywhere else YOU can make your own destiny!

A wise man once said that all relationships are like a mirror. When you don’t like what you see, changing mirrors won’t help. I realized when things weren’t like they used to be, it was because MY vision had changed. I knew I wanted a part, but I wasn’t clear on what part specifically. But I used to be so clear on what kind of a career I wanted to have! What kind of career do you want? What do you SEE for yourself. Where do you want to be in two months? Where do you want to be in two years? Ten years? What is your vision?

Instead of looking at this business as a smash and grab, get all you can while it lasts- Why not turn yourself into a huge magnet, and attract everything you’ve ever wanted and desired, by having a crystal clear vision of who you are, what you are, and why you are.  …slaving away to be the kind of artist that you are.
