April’s Fool

How lovely to be the fool
Blissful like Sandra Bullock on Oscar night
Or the death squad member with a blank in their gun
Nothing feels better than not knowing
My pope-like ignorance can make pedophilia disappear
And still sometimes I’d rather be a child
Conviction making up for lack of knowledge
Naivety, my parachute whenever I fly off the handle
How glorious the expanse of what I don’t know
How beautiful the sea of the unknown
So many lands to discover, So many challenges to overcome
I salivate at the galaxy’s lunch plate
And in this time you can never be full
So until I die I’ll continue having dinner with schmucks
Feasting with fools, so bring on the undefined
Because no matter where you March
You can end up an April fool, the key is to learn of it what you May
